A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

Do any of these moving emojis, gifs or attachments give you seizures or seizure activity, or disturb your brain? What do you do if so? Avoiding technology seems like not a great option.

Yes. Sometimes they seem hard to avoid. Like there are folks on this and other sites who use them and it makes it challenging to avoid. I do have some blue light blocking lenses. Maybe that will also help. And I definitely take a lot of breaks, so that does help.

Avoid the emojis or gifs, wear blue lens glasses, take breaks from technology.

Yes it does trigger. Flashy lights. Camera shutterbugs. Any kind of persistence of vision at a rapid pace does trigger.

Technology,Emojis and most GIFs don't bother me either. White strobe lights can trigger if I'm not careful. Nowadays, I get a headache with the strobe lights so I know when it's time to stop/leave depending on where I am.

Video Game consoles, smart phones, pads, and today’s TV can trigger seizures

May want to take a break from them. I believe that there is a type of eye wear that can help
