Non-epilepsy Related Question: Do You Have Dreams So Vivid That You Wake Up With The Feeling Of The Emotional Experience?
A MyEpilepsyTeam Member asked a question 💭

I am still feeling terrible anger and loss after a dream I had of finding the woman of my dreams was the daughter of a partner at my firm and she found me...
Then she found my brother.
Can something like this be epilepsy related? Am l just pent up with frustration? Maybe I just need a cry.

Yes, especially around the times of my seizure clusters. I've wondered if I'm having subclinical nocturnal seizures that I'm not aware of and if they are effecting my dreams. It's also possible to have "emotional" seizures.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I can tell you from personal experience and advice shared my friends on this site that it is very important to have a good neurologist who keeps up to date on everything to do with Epilepsy in order to get the best chance of reaching a seizure free state. And, as I learned from the first appointment that I had with my new neurologist (and a senior neurologist who was also present to verify that what my neurologist was telling me was true), there should be a limited amount of time of being on an anticonvulsant or combination of anticonvulsants before changing to some other anticonvulsants. I never reached a seizure free state yet my 2 previous neurologists kept me on Tegretol for 24 years! Learn a much as possible about your Epilepsy and questions to ask your neurologist to inspire better treatment. And if this doesn't work, then try to find a better neurologist.

Dreams can be very emotional.
I have had dreams that came to.
I mean it just can be certain parts of the dream.
When I was in my teenage years I saw were my future wife grew up by noticing pictures hanging on the walls that were still hanging 15 years after the dream.
I have had others also but this one is worth sharing.

wish you a great day
