My seizures completely stopped on the Topamax & Keppra combo. And I haven't had a Tonic Clonic seizure in 7 years (except recently went I went off the Topamax). And I never had before that at all. So, it's definitely not seizures causing it.
And in case anyone is wondering, I've never had a head injury prior to tinnitus starting or been around loud noise excessively.

I have had it from my 20s it is very common for people to get it an even more if you have epilepsy I asked the doctor an my specialist

My tinnitus, I get from my blood pressure changes. Usually when its high. Though mine sounds like steam escaping out of a tiny hole. Very high pitched hissing. Though I have noticed another sound when I try to get settled in bed. If I yawn when laying down and or I stretch my neck, I hear little bubbles popping sounds as I relax. I can actually instigate them. But tinnitus I have no control over. Its practically all the time. Like "WHITE NOISE" I try to tune it out.

I get weird noise that gets louder near the time of month & also noise in the ear like someone talking but no one else does hear it. I told my neuro about it & she put it on my file & I went for a 5 hour EEG video test & it makes my speech act up. Which my scar is on. I'm on Clobozam, Keppra, & Epival for epilepsy plus other meds but not for epilepsy.

Hello, I'm new here, and I'm hoping I can find some support and opinions on everyone's experiences. My daughter recently got diagnosed with generalized epilepsy, she just began to tell me she's hearing her heart beat in her head. Shes taking Zonisamide and Clobazam, im not sure if its the medication or something more serious. I have a a scheduled MRI this Thursday, I'm hoping they can find what is the root cause of it.
