Does anyone have occipital lobe epilepsy?? I already had temporal lobe and was recently diagnosed with this, I’m just really confused and am experiencing a lot of weird things and was hoping there was someone on here I could talk to that could help me and relate/:

Many years before I was diagnosed I had 2episodes of ,eye problems ,the type you might associate with migraines ,but without a headache These involved zig zag lines ,beginning in the lower quadrant of each eye, then moving to cover the whole eye .My mum had the same ,she used to call them 'squiggles' In hindsight I wonder whether this was a form of seizure in my occipital lobe

I see the circular spots also. Sometimes they are transparent, most of the time they are different colors. I truly don’t know what’s called , but I always called them FLOSATERS . It’s like they float across my vision left to right .

Your the muscle spasms your experiencing, reminds me of a Myoclonic Seizures.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member,
It sounds to me that, the Dr. has no clue of your Epilepsy type. Seizures pattern and seizure types can change, but not the type of Epilepsy. The only way I can see someone’s Epilepsy type possibly changing, is by brain surgery.

You may want To find an Epileptologist .
