I have had the VNS implanted, as I have been diagnosed with intractable epilepsy. There are pros and cons to the device. It hasn't rid me of seizures completely, but it has made them shorter. (Big improvement!)

I realize the dr always tell the benefit but don’t tell u us the side effects. My neurologist has telling for 2 years but my family doesn’t want me to take a huge chance put a device in my body. I’m just telling u what I feel about vns. I feel vns is for those people who has uncontrollable seizures.
