Marlene it is like at a job. When You fill out an application or during an interview, if you do not let them know you have seizures, they can fire you or have you quit if you have one. But if you do let them know and they hire you, they are not allowed to fire you.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member I was shopping for christmas stuff when I found these lights the blink by the music. I hung them up in my bedroom since I like to relax while playing music.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member patient right vs being fired due to seizures? It must go by state than. It was effective here in North Dakota back in the 80's. 1996 is when I sued a work place for firing me due to my medical. I applied for part time, later she wanted me to work full time. Since I told her I can only work part time due to my seizures and medical (like I put on my application) she fired me. Trials are usually 30 days and they need to let you know why they let you go. You may have made mistakes at the job but they would be letting you know about them when you make them. I was at a full time job for 4 years from 1990 to 1994 and got fired because of ending up in the hospital twice for 3 days each. It was to late but was told I could of got them in trouble.
