I am in the very early stages of trying to get a seizure response dog. After going to an open house at a local place that trains seizure dogs and other types of service dogs locally here my fiancé and I decided it would be a good idea for us to get one for me due to my situation. Our pet dog Patches is not trained as seizure dog, but he has several times alerted me that I was going to have a seizure, and whenever I have one he always alerts everyone else in the house that I am having one, problem is I'm not permitted to take him most places.
Getting a seizure dog for your son sounds like it could definitely be a good idea. Hope this has bee helpful

We are looking in the possibility of getting one for our 6 1/2 year old son. He is suffering more and more seizures at school, after school care. As he suffers from absent seizures they going unnoticed very easily and can only last for a very short period of time. So any information / advice / opinions would Ben great. Thanks in advance :-). Or any other ideas or being able to track them And hopefully try to protect him from harm as one of his most recent ones he fell of the playground at school and ended up with a black eye.
