Hi! I've been having different kind of seizures than I used to they last longer and are extremely concerning because they don't respond to rescue medications. I was looking into seizure response or seizure alert dogs. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with a service dog for epilepsy?
No I wish I did
Bryan are u saying that it only cost 50 to 100$ to train are am I reading that wrong
My last dog was Frankie yesterday I trained him myself self the first thing I did was just teach him when I was having one I showed him how 2 get my meds for me and to stay by myside when I have one he also new how to get my phone and turn it on he was 2 when I got him no I actually got him from the shelter and he learned everything it takes a little bit for them to learn but it is really nice my new dog daisy is 2 I also got her for the shelter right now she is still learning she nos to stay with me while I am having one and to go get my husband and she lets him no that I am have a seizure by barking at him it is really nice to have a dog that nos how 2 help you both of my babies were little hot dog dogs Frankie passed away at 10 years old of heart trouble and I still have daisy!
I wouldn't give mine up for anything! I'm on my second seizure response service dog. My first one retired last spring and she was in service for over 8 years!
