I sometimes get a loud ringing/buzzing in my left ear and it'd last a couple of minutes. I've been on lamictal since I've been diagnosed which was in 2009.. but the ringing and buzzing has only just started recently in last a couple months.. and everything will go all quiet but when I try to explain it to people what I hear in my ear they just look at me like I'm stupid..

I take lamotrigine (generic form) and have never had that. Although when my body first started getting used to the drug I was constantly dizzy, light headed, tired, and sick. On top of that it caused my stomach to be queezy. Not my favorite med in the world, but at least it controls my seizures

Nope never but if working with loud tools or shooting my rifle does at times but never Lamictal been on it 20 yrs to

I am on 400 mg of lamotrigine a day. I sometimes get ringing in my ears, but it comes and goes.

In those times, which I've had myself, all I can do is smh. I ask myself a golden question "is it worth a seizure?" And try to laugh it off. Remember the people that are so judging cannot spend the day in our shoes with epilepsy. I wish it was like a shoe I could give them just for a day. They probably end up in the hospital having a nervous breakdown. 😄
