I have noticed that a lot of stories say that epilepsy was diagnosed when you have been in your late teens or early 20s but has anyone been diagnosed in their late 30s or early 40s?

Mine started 8 years ago when I was 50, I had had Crohns Disease and bad arthritis since I was 30. My firt seizure happened one Friday night at work ( I had my own bar in Spain) in front of a bar full of people, I think it was the shock of my sons death in Iraq six weeks earlier,

I was 47 when I had my first seizure (grand mal). No family history. No triggering event found. No medical explanation. πŸ˜•

I had 1 four years Ago. This week I had 2 more one right on the gurneys into the ambulance. I ve had migraines since I was12 and partial seizures in my 40s. Im 53
