Depending on what medication you are taking, you can get pregnant on the pill. Depakote lessens the effectiveness of the pill. That's how I got pregnant. Depakote also does its damage in the first 30 days, which is how I lost my son.

Patricia progestorne only birth control works well with epilepsy medications. They are not effected by the meds that what my neurologist suggested I get and my OB also.

I don't know why you are taking birth control pills when you take epilepsy meds. The Epilepsy meds lowers the birth control pills. I never took them just because of that fact...

I went off "the pill" as in my birth control but talked to my neurogist and told him we were trying so he could adjust my medications if he needed too. But I was not on any that have high percentages of side effects, so he elected to keep everything the same.

I'm not female here so not really one to say but I would say if you mean the contraceptive pill then yes but anything to do with epilepsy tablets then you must talk to GP or your epilepsy Dr about it first. Don't just stop them yourself as heard many stories it does more harm than good and it very bad idea.
Hope this helps
