My boss called me up to his office today and started telling me I need to be a more responsible person. I told him how I can’t drive so my parents have to give me rides everywhere. I’m also on disability that will not let me make much money. He said it didn’t matter and I can’t rely on my parents. I told him how I’ll have to be in assisted living in the future. He said there’s no reason for that and I have to be responsible for everything. He gave me a list of things and when my mom saw it she… read more

Sean- please stop saying that. U’ll start believing it, and it’s simply Not True!! A loser is someone who doesn’t try doing anything, who expects others to wait on them hand and foot just because they don’t want to do anything. And ur the complete opposite of everything that word means. U’ve worked for over 20 yrs, u go outta ur way to help others, u try new things. So by definition; U are Not a loser- ur a survivor who has had to fight all his life for everything he has- which makes u a winner, a go-getter and life has not been easy for u either U could’ve just said the heck with life and just be lazing around playing video games and telling people to bring u everything ur heart desires. And that’s just not u. That’s not in ur heart or mind. U are the complete opposite of what a loser is. It doesn’t matter if u can’t live on ur own or drive; lots of ppl can’t. That doesn’t define u. What’s inside ur heart, mind and soul that matters..
I’m sorry to hear that William is having another rough time. I pray that he gets better soon and also that u stay on here as long as possible Jen. Ur both so strong and help so many of us here all the time. Ur both so strong and gentle both with each other and with us. Hopefully our Father won’t be calling William home too soon. I’m happy that u have Joe to help u both with everything that’s happening to u both. Last I had heard was that he was starting to heal from the lung issues. Please take care of urselves and I will continue to keep u both in my thoughts and prayers 💜💜💜💜

I couldn’t have said it better Jen and Will. And Ari, I struggle all the time with not saying “bad “ words on here. When I was growing up, they were used like sentence enhancers and not something that might affect someone’s feelings or make them uncomfortable. Yes, as kids we were taught that we couldn’t say them especially around others, but it was like growing up with sailor mouths. And every job I’ve had was the same way- don’t use them in front of customers unless u know them and they talk the same way as long as anyone in earshot also wouldn’t be offended. And yes, I totally agree with tough love; as long as it’s warranted and not something said outta frustration, resentment or anger. And Will and Jen hit the nail on the head. We all struggle in some way, shape or form; it’s how we respond to it that matters. In no way, shape or form was I meaning to say u shouldn’t comment on any post or hide ur feelings. All I was trying to say was to have some compassion and insight into the person and situation. If anyone took what I said as not to share on here, that’s not what I meant.
Living with epilepsy limits what people can do through no fault of their own, and working hard despite those limits is something to be proud of, not ashamed of. Also, for those of us who don't have those limits, we can help others because we relate to and understand. As for the manager, he needs to be educated and FAST; he and the company he works for could be looking at a MAJOR LAWSUIT.
