Hi Mandy. Thanks so much for your advice. She is so excited to start. We are waiting for the official EEG read. We are watching her closely so that we can ensure that she is safe if she seizes. I know she cannot drive, but I am nervous leaving her there the whole day alone. What do you think?
If I read your message correctly you said grad school, not grade school. I was diagnosed my Senior year of high school. My suggestion would be to let her decide about her level of comfort. I always told my professors at the beginning of the semester. I gave them some information about epilepsy and emergency contact information. Grad school is a big thing that students work towards. Letting this stop her would be a shame. If control is an issue, perhaps she could wait a semester. I hope all goes well and I wish her the best whatever she decides.
Lauri, I think the kinds of seizures and the severity of them. do you or she know her Triggers? Some are common such as lack of sleep, not eating, and stress. There are others. When I worked as a Telemarketer, I had to get jobs on the City Bus Routes ran to what jobs I was able to get.

I went through grade school with epilepsy and I never had any issues with classmates but learning was a different story with all of my dead brain cells
It’s too early to tell at this moment. Is she aware when she seizures?
Or is she like myself ? I have no clued when I seizure. The only way I know of having a seizure , is when someone alerts me .
