Recently I’ve been getting seizure auras for the last 3 days and I’ve been more interested in peeing outside no matter who sees me I just wants to know if that’s normal with the auras

Members responded to a question about whether wanting to pee outside without concern for others is a normal part of seizure auras, with most agreeing it could be related to certain types of epilepsy or medication side effects. Several members strongly encouraged contacting a neurologist right away, noting that acting on the urge in public could lead to legal trouble, and that documenting the behavior with a doctor could help if that happened. A recurring theme was the value of knowing your aura warnings, with many sharing their own experiences including animals like dogs, cats, and even a horse that could sense seizures before they happened.

Hallo Marco .. it can be ., depends on the type of epilepsy .. from what we be told this behaviour usually be found in those having focal unaware seizures .. they be having wide open eyes and appear awake whilst they truly be unconscious .. they may take off clothes .. vomit .. pee .. defecate ., or touch themselves ., all these things they do not realize they do ., they may also get up and run around .. laugh or cry ., or speak gibberish ., even become combative .. all of these things can be a side effect of meds .. we have not heard of someone conscious wanting to go outsude and pee not caring who see ., this be indecent exposure.. and Rhonda be right ., you can be arrested and fined or given jail time .. this is serious and you be best to call your neurologist and report what be happening .. the meds you be taking .. even alcohol and street drugs ., can also cause this behavior .. there be meds that can control your seizutes without this side effect .. not all have same side effects .. so please see your doc or call ASAP.. to answer your question .. this not be an aura unless you have rare type of epilepsy that be causing it, as auras be seizures themselves.. the key is if you be aware this be happening .. or if someone see and tell you .. either way you need to let your neurologist know ASAP.. because other conditions can cause this besides epilepsy ... wishing you the best .. William and Jen🤗💜💙🕊🕊

I have lots of auras, but have never wanted to urinate outdoors without caring who sees me. I would call ur dr and at least bring it to their attention. If u act on ur urges and get arrested for public indecency, it’s gonna be really hard to get the police to understand or believe u, let alone a judge. So the faster u let ur dr ( or his head nurse) know about it- the better. Then they can at least tell the judge that u have reported this urge and help u out should u act on it and get arrested for it.

I used to get warnings- my left arm and head would jerk quickly to the left and I couldn’t control it, but I would always have a seizure 15-30 minutes later. Unfortunately the warnings stopped when my epilepsy progressed. So I rely on how I’m feeling, if someone I’m talking to says I’m talking gibberish ( and I understand them), or that I’m spacing out- as I don’t know I’m doing any of that unless someone tells me, and then the dog alerting me. Apparently I used to say the F word right b5 I seized, but hopefully I don’t do that anymore 🤞🏽
