I've been on Keppra for two years, and at first I was just on edge and a little snappy, nothing major, and I feel like it got better with time. But today I'm extremely angry, which is out of character for me. I want to scream, throw things, stomp. I don't know if it's circumstantial or medication related, but I've never felt like this before. Would it come on suddenly like this after 2 years?

When they tried Keppra a second time on me after getting a VNS, I was working at a call center. Once they got up to the dosage they wanted at least once a week when I had an irate caller my temper kicked in and I had to fight to keep from blowing up at them. It didn't take long for me to tell my Epileptologists to get me off of that.
My daughter felt the same as you and had the rage as well. Doctors saying that is not true are wrong. My daughter went in to the doctor telling him she didn’t want to be put on keppra. He insisted it was the safest best drug and it almost destroyed her. It was not working and he just kept increasing her dose. She tapered off very slowly and is doing so much better. It’s tough to find a really good doctor that really wants the best for you
