It's concerning to hear that driving feels like the only relief from dizziness during cluster seizures. However, driving with epilepsy — especially with cluster seizures — carries serious safety risks, both for you and others on the road.

Cluster seizures are defined as three or more seizures within a 24-hour period. They can escalate quickly into a medical emergency, so it's really important to speak with your doctor right away about what you're experiencing. Here's why driving during this time is particularly risky:

- Seizures can strike without warning, even if you feel okay in the moment
- Cluster seizures can cause sudden loss of awareness or consciousness
- People with epilepsy have a statistically higher accident rate than those without

Some people with epilepsy do drive safely — particularly those with strong, reliable auras that warn them before a seizure hits. But during a cluster seizure period, the unpredictability is much higher.

Please avoid driving until you've spoken with your neurologist. The dizziness and cluster seizures need to be addressed urgently — your doctor may be able to adjust your treatment or prescribe a rescue medication like a nasal spray to help manage clusters when they happen.
