Drinks. Not all to bad. Does anyone else feel robbed with epilepsy? I'm sure some other people have it much worse.
Hallo Dave .. this be William .. and I be agreeing with Tom .. never let someine tell you that yiu cannot do something .. because they do not be knowing your strength .. all my life I be told I cannot do things .. first it be because of my bad heart .. then my diabetes .. and that I could not do sports with only one good lung .. and that I could not walk missing my entire keft leg .. that with LTL ictal asystole .. a rare epilepsy .. I would not live past puberty .. and no girl would ever be wanting me with all these terminal problems .. so .. I did ALL of these things .. and I find an awesome girl who love me as I be .. and she become my wife .. then they say .. because of ALL these health issues .. you cannot father a child .. so ., just as always I do ., Jen and me pray .. with the help of my incredible wife.. and the support of an understanding and innovative OB/GYN.. I be able to sire three amazing sons .. you can never be knowing what you canna do until you try .. was not easy to become a father ., Jen and me create six lives .. and three be lost to miscarriage .. yet thanks be to God .. three do go fullterm and become our sons ., so .. never believe you cannot do something until you try .. and be prepared to fight with all that be in you .. to work harder than ever you do .. and understandf that the road be hard and painful ., and you may suffer unbearabke losses .. even so .. make giving up NOT be an option ., ask Our Father for help ., and when you meet your goal that be worth all that you be doing to get there.. remember that those WITHOUT epilepsy also suffer pain and loss ., epilepsy definitely make it more difficult .. remember just because it be difficult .. it NOT be impossible .. Jen and me believe that giving up NOT be an option ., Mum use to say .. where tbere be a will .. tbere be a way .. she be right ., failing is not the worse thing that can happen .. the worse be giving up or refusing to try .. patience, perseverance and resilience be the tools you be needing .. final thought .. na leig as gu brath, mo charaid .. ge bith de .. never give up, dear friend .. no matter what .. hugs and prayers from William and Jen ๐๐๐ค๐ค๐๐
I could never had imagined the magnitude of the hit I'd take regarding my musicianship abilities. Sixty-two years of hard-fought gains in proficiency gone in a single event. I regressed fifty years in an instant. My plans for retirement were destroyed. Yes, I feel robbed. I've spent the last seven years trying to regain some of it to no avail. I haven't been able to "practice" my way out of it.
I'll continue to play at some level, I'm a lifer, but I'll never regain the execution level of what I once was capable of. The drugs make it impossible for my mind to work fast enough to control my fingers. I know what I want to do, I just can't get my fingers to do it. My brain is too slow.
I'd rather have had my right leg lopped off at the knee. Bitter? Yes.
I can get away with a little amount,of. alcohol on occasion.
I canโt legally drive. But I have driven go karts, riding lawnmower , and bumper cars if you come with any of those. Ever since yesterdayโs weather, barely
Poor thing, have you tried the cake? Itโs a regular cake frosting. Just dip your finger in the frosting and taste it. See if you like it doesnโt you like it?
When I worked I had to make sure it was job that I could do without triggering my seizures. Or dangerous with My Epilepsy..
I look at Epilepsy this way . Everything we do even sitting is at risk when living with Epilepsy.. the consequences are from low consequence to high consequence..
I have love with seizures focal temporal lobe for 50 years and family stood by and watched it happen for years and did nothing so yes it has taken 50 years from me but I am learning to cope alone
Feeling robbed by epilepsy is completely valid, and you are definitely not alone in feeling this way. Many people with epilepsy go through a real grieving process after diagnosis โ and it's not just about the big things like driving, but also the smaller everyday moments that quietly disappear.
