I have had 2 EEGs and they both came up with nothing, however they didn’t even try anything to trigger them besides lights. I still have myoclonic seizures.

I have had numerous EEG’s in the past. One that lasted a week long, I had all the electrodes glued to my head. A little machine attached to my waist and a button to push for the machine to specially record when a seizure was happening. The machine was running the entire time. That EEG did not recognize anything. So I had the Depth Electrodes Test, electrodes implanted in my brain 🧠. That test worked I know where my seizures are coming from in my brain. So I had the vagus Nerve Stimulator implanted, that has helped.

They can but the only way these test work is if you have a seizure when the test is being done. If you have been seizure free for that lone you would need to have a seizure beforehand or so signs a seizure could happen, but you wouldn't want either of these.

The EEG can tell you that. My seizures could only come from one side of my brain or they never would have done my brain surgeries! The MRI found my brain tumor, but it was the EEG that gave the doctors that info!

The EEG can detect where your seizure are active in.,

I also had a SEEG (Stereo EEG) where they drilled holes in my head and the wires went into my brain.
