Members widely agreed that homemade meals are cheaper and healthier than eating out, especially for those living with epilepsy or on a fixed income. Several members shared practical money-saving strategies like buying in bulk, using a slow cooker, dividing meat into portions before freezing, and growing food at home to avoid pesticides and store trips. A recurring theme was that eating well is not just about cost but also about health, with many noting that what you eat directly affects how you feel and how well your condition is managed.

Homemade is always cheaper, and better for you. Unless you're a terrible cook.

I would it depends where you go. Maccs McDonalds can be cheaper than making a home made meal. Restaurant can be very pricey especially if you go to an upmarket place which gives what they call a main course consisting of just enough to give you a taste and leaves you hungry when you leave. If you make it yourself you know what is in it. Here in Australia we have a volunteer organisation called Meals on Wheels which supplies meals which are cooked in a commercial type kitchen and delivered to your house at reasonable prices. You do have to qualify for the meals but the meals are filling and taste the same as home cooked,

Homemade is cheaper. I am the cook and I don't like to cook. I enjoy the food and the staff.
