Members related to feeling drained after a 6-hour work shift, with many sharing that physical or extended activity often leaves them exhausted for a full day or more afterward. Several members offered practical tips like drinking water, finding cooling areas to manage heat sensitivity, and breaking up routines to conserve energy. A recurring theme was the importance of listening to your body, getting rest before the next shift, and knowing you are not alone in struggling with fatigue and sleep challenges.

So Sorry You Were Drained. I Hope You Are Feeling Much Better Now & Tomorrow. I Wish I Could Still Work, But As A Chef The Heat Will Trigger My Seizures. Have A Good Seizure-Free Night

Leslie3 , You’re not alone with that either. I have many nights that it takes me awhile to fall asleep. The only time I don’t have issues is, I’ve gotta be completely exhausted for me to fall asleep quickly.

I have problems getting to sleep, and getting up many times a night. Often I get up at 8:45, take meds at 9, go back to sleep. Sometimes it is a long sleep. That is not good, i think.

If you could break up your routine it might be better. Asrink for the heat, some businesses are closed. Drink water. If you do not have Air Conditioning, go to a cooling area.

Phillywoman I have to go in for 6 hrs tomorrow afternoon til one hr before closing. I’m concerned with this heat we’re having right now due to the fact I don’t do well with it. I never have. This humidity work on me in a big way.
