Members shared their experiences with leg weakness, with many describing how they listen to their bodies and rest when pain or weakness becomes overwhelming, even if it means staying in one spot all day. Several members offered practical strategies including using ice packs in 20-minute cycles, elevating legs to improve blood flow, checking if hunger or low energy is contributing to shakiness, and exploring medical interventions like nerve ablation procedures that have helped some members walk more comfortably for extended periods. A recurring theme was the tension between wanting mobility aids like wheelchairs for safety and independence versus doctors who dismiss the need, with members encouraging each other to advocate firmly for tools that would improve their quality of life and reduce the fear of falling.

Rhondaschnee I know it is . The leg weakness is a daily thing for me anymore. I have an MRI scheduled to be done in in the next couple of months. It’s actually scheduled for the 5th of June then the ninth I have a follow up with the nurse practitioner. I’m at the point of telling either the NP or DR to get me set up to be fitted for a rigid wheelchair. It’s over due. It needs to be done. For safety purposes . I’d rather get around on wheels and stay safe than risk my safety by not having the wheelchair ♿️. The thing is this is keeping me in fear right now the way my legs feel.

I just listen to my body. When my legs start to give out or are extremely painful, I will lay down and relax. If it lasts all day then it lasts all day. Ur body is telling u that something is wrong and u need to listen to it. My opinion anyways

Babygirl68 I seen to experience the weakness and fatigue more so in the lower part of my body . That’s including both legs down to my feet. It’s all I can do getting around some days without getting winded easily either indoors or out. It’s all I can do to keep me mobile without getting worn out while on foot.
