No. It can help with side effects depending on what you're on, but it doesn't stop seizures.

I have never heard anything like that. I doubt it but I wouldn’t guarantee anything

I have bitten a small piece the size of my pupil off. It grew back. The thing that helps me the best is wearing a nightly “retainer”.

Can high-dose vitamin B supplementation help prevent seizures in epilepsy?

Vitamin B supplementation can help prevent seizures, but only in specific, rare forms of epilepsy where vitamin deficiency is the underlying cause.

For most people with epilepsy, high-dose vitamin B won't prevent seizures. However, if you have one of these rare vitamin-dependent epilepsies, supplementation can be life-changing:

Pyridoxine-Dependent Epilepsy (Vitamin B6)
This rare condition affects newborns and causes seizures that don't respond to standard medications. Vitamin B6 supplementation can reverse seizure activity in these cases.

Folinic Acid-Responsive Seizures (Related to Vitamin B12)
Another rare newborn epilepsy disorder that responds to folinic acid supplementation, which is related to vitamin B12.

Cerebral Folate Deficiency (Vitamin B9/Folate)
This condition involves a lack of folate in the brain, leading to nervous system problems including epilepsy.

Biotin-Responsive Conditions
Some metabolic disorders that cause seizures respond well to biotin (vitamin B7) supplementation.

It's crucial to work with your healthcare team before starting any high-dose vitamin regimen. They can test whether you have a vitamin-dependent form of epilepsy and determine the appropriate dosage, as excessive supplementation can cause side effects.
