My first neurology practitioner (who received the EEG report leading to my diagnosis of bilateral focal) seemed definite and scheduled one. She also referred me to an epileptologist, who, at initial appointment, looked surprised and a little dismissive of me having the NeuroPsych. . From what I’ve read, it seems pretty standard. It’s making me question the judgment of the “specialist”. Would appreciate opinions.
Yes I have had the Neuro Psych tests evaluation done like 3 different times
Thanks for the info! I thought maybe it was for someone considering surgery…
Oh dear, I’m sorry you had to go through that. Saying a prayer that things will ease up and go more smoothly for you.
I had a Neuropsych workup after the Telemarketing jobs ended. My Neurologist requested it. They determined my memory was poor, and could not remember the directions to a Task and carry it out well and consistently. The Medical Report was given to my then Conservator. The visit to the Assisted Living Place my family found did not go at all well. I was desperately illl the night before. I could not sleep and had a terrible case of Diarrhrea, up all night going loose BM. They spoke to my sister Sharon, not me. I wanted to learn how they were going to give medications and when. Epidiolex is a liquid medication. It requires a clean Oral Syringe for each dose. They serve Breakfast at 8. I am not awake then. I have an Aide tho cooks for me (I am not supposed to). She tries to keep the place somewhat organized and clean. I am better at remembering Appointments because I need to arrange rides to get there and back.
You are welcome, amen
