I called Medtronic customer service. They are sending Me My Medtronic card and it will take 7 to 10 business days to get.

I've had a Deep Brain Stimulator since 2011. After I had the first device put into my system I was given a blue card from MedTronics showing my patient information on it. At that time, the card was showing my name, my surgeon, the date of surgery, the surgeon's phone number for an emergency contact, and MedTronic information about the DBS device itself that could be obtained by certain personnel who phoned for it.
Approximately each six to seven years when my Deep Brain Stimulator device is replaced by surgery at the hospital I go through the card I carry in my wallet will also have an update of information put onto it. I will share the card sent to me with my hospital campus so they can scan into my account so the update is always there and any of my specialist doctors or nursing staff can see it.

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member why would you need to show a card these days? Sure they could still do it if you request it but surely there is a better way for them to handle this? Shouldn't it just go on your record that you have a DBS and if a MRI is ever requested the records with the DBS information get sent to be checked over by the Neurologist before the MRI is officially booked?
