Is good. But my frustration is still there due the fact I still don’t have an answer on what’s causing the blurry vision I’m getting as well as these headaches and everything else I’ve mentioned in the past so aggravating right now I don’t know what I’m gonna do what I do know is my current neurologist is not gonna consider ordering a different test to see what could be causing this he’s just gonna shrug it off and be done with it still got feeling to me is an MRI problem needs to be done… read more
Of course, we as epileptics all can have some slight differences. But it often feels as though today’s doctors just aren’t going to take the time to help the ones you personally battle each day.
Quinn Ive had the same problem for years and years now. And like u, I complained to all my drs who claimed they didn’t know what was going on and sent me to the optometrist. After the exam he said he didn’t know what was causing the blurriness, but since I have chronic migraines and I was having one at the time ( so he could tell what I was talking about), he said all he could think of was that the migraines were causing the blurry vision. It does make sense; but I’ve had migraines since I was a preteen so I knew it wasn’t the case- unless it takes 40 years for it to start affecting my eye sight ( plus I have better than perfect vision). I told him that, he said ( again) that I have better than perfect eyesight and he just didn’t know what was causing the blurriness; so that’s all he could think of regardless of how long Ive had migraines and that the blurriness is only a few years old. He did recommend that I see an eye specialist who would have better equipment and experience than he did, but that I would need to get a referral from one of my drs. I haven’t been able to get that done yet; but like u; I’m not giving up. It’s bad enough that I can’t read books anymore, that I have to use either the suggested words or the mic to type, can’t always make out faces or see what’s on tv; so I’m not just gonna wait until I’m blind for them to do something about it! Good luck with ur journey and let me know if u found an answer and I’ll do the same.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member same here thats why i dont want nothing to do with doctors no more i rather just let it be 🤷🏻♂️
I’ve had MRIs, EEG, and every other test. I’ve had several seizures my whole life and the drs still don’t understand anything about me!!! So frustrating!!!!
I remember way back in the ‘90s. Each appointment was 30 min, as doctors saw 2 patients each hour. Where I go now, an appointment is 20 minutes. Doctors are often late, yet it still feels as though they are rushing on to their next appointment while they are meeting with me.
Now in the midst of all this - my last appointment felt kinda creepy. Because during that appointment, the doctor treating me was actually training a new doctor, who was a recent graduate at a nearby university.😧
