yes - I always had receding gums since I had braces for years and the dentist told me it was normal. Now, I started using a gum specific toothpaste but still feel like my gums are receding. My insurance doesn't cover dentist appointments even though I'm on medical assistance. Told me they don't take patients with medica.

My gums are receding. I never used to put a lot of effort into taking care of my teeth I would brush them and go to the dentist and that's it. I had two teeth randomly break after I had to change meds. I had to cut back on sugar a lot and basically do everything I should of been doing years ago. Last year was the first time in a while I haven't had to go back for a follow up. lol.

Dilantin hurt my gums, and probably also my teeth. I took all the old AEDs and Osteoperosis is only one problem

Yes Zeek...I've been through that decades ago. I've been taking Dilantin for over 40 years. My new neurologist is trying to ween me off of it, but for other reasons: now they say that it can be a trigger for osteoporosis. A little late for me though, after all of the bones that I broke in a car accident while driving. But hey...doctors' know best, right?
