@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , A bottle and a 1/2 wine coolers don’t Coolers. Don’t remember what brand.
I actually wanted a Sex On The Beach mix drink. But they don’t have a bar in the hospital.
I experienced 5 and 7 day EEGs. I didn’t have any issues after my inpatient EEG’s . Other than the glue stuck in my hair and scalp, I recovered fast
I’ve always just gone along with what my doctor has recommended. I didn’t want a surgery in 2014 but I still did it from how bad my seizures were then. I was fourteen when I had that surgery but I had to say whether or not to do it. EEGs have always been something I’ve just gone along with.
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , offering me to have and alcohol beverage was a Last Resort decision . It was decided by my Epileptologist ( at that time ) , not the hospital staff.
My brain was in survival mode when I was on the lowest dose of meds
( I may of been off all my meds at that time ) and my seizures were frequency were small and minor . They need bigger seizurures. That’s why they decided that.
They finally got great results after I finally had a strong frequency seizure. There were 6 maybe 8 hospital staff in my room to calm my seizure down and get it under control.
I had two 4 day at home Veeg's over 2 years. I wasn't well anyway going in to the first one so although it I felt like complete crap. Two weeks later they did the follow up and confirmed I did have 3 seizures.
The next one I didn't have any. All my eeg's they don't do any med weaning some of them they say don't have or limit caffeine or go to bed later, but that about all I've had. Funny thing is the last to eeg's I had the clinic that were doing it wanted to do it and just leave everything as it was, meaning I just went about daily life and don't change anything. So this was a major first for me.
