How can you find an expert to testify at a hearing about focal aware seizures?
Finding a medical expert to testify about focal aware seizures typically involves reaching out to epilepsy specialists who have experience with these types of seizures. Here are some steps that may help:
Consider contacting:
* Neurologists who specialize in epilepsy (epileptologists)

What makes a good expert witness:
An ideal expert would have extensive knowledge about focal aware seizures, including how they're diagnosed, their symptoms, and how they affect daily functioning. They should understand that focal aware seizures involve full awareness during the episode, can include symptoms like tingling, jerking, or unusual sensations, and typically last two minutes or less.
Important documentation:
Having detailed records is crucial, including observer accounts and any video recordings of seizures. Home videos or cellphone recordings can be extremely helpful in understanding and documenting what occurs during seizures.
You may want to consult with an attorney who specializes in disability or medical cases, as they often have networks of medical experts who provide testimony in legal proceedings.

Was he in the seizure during the events? I have an issue with people grabbing me in one or not due to past issues & seizures in general & charges have been attempted. The police, fire and paramedics have been informed that I have Epilepsy/seizures & been told (regardless of what I'm doing) not to grab me if I'm unresponsive.
