Hi everyone,
Sorry that this is such a long a complex question but, the main reason I bring this up is I was having all these body and limb twitches for a long time. I haven't had them for the last two years because my meds changed as well as a lot of other things.
To cut a long story short I think I may know what it is.

Have you been diagnosed with TLE and multiple seizure types including focal motor seizures?

Yes, it's absolutely possible to have temporal lobe epilepsy (TLE) with multiple seizure types. People with TLE can experience:

* Focal aware seizures (where you remain conscious)
* Focal impaired awareness seizures (where awareness is altered)
* Focal motor seizures (which can cause twitching or jerking movements)
* Focal to bilateral tonic-clonic seizures (where the seizure spreads to both sides of the brain)

The body and limb twitches you experienced could have been focal motor seizures. These involve isolated muscle twitching and are a type of focal seizure that can occur with TLE. It's great that your symptoms have improved over the past two years with medication changes. This suggests your treatment plan is working well for you.

If you're connecting the dots about what those twitches might have been, it's worth discussing this with your neurologist. They can help confirm whether those were focal motor seizures and ensure your current treatment continues to address all your seizure types effectively.

I have only ever been diagnosed with tonic-clonic seizures.

I have TLE and my seizures were severe when younger and middle age. Thankfully even though I still have them, not often and severe as did.

I have TLE and have had all kinds of seizures. Focal aware (simple partial) is where they started, but now more generalised (complex partial and tonic clonic), but they are almost under control. In my experience, meds can cause twitching too.
