are aware of this. The problem now is trying to find one that is one that’s not just for sleeping disorders since neither one of my conditions have anything to do with sleep disorders not really sure where to turn with this one. The one I’m currently seeing can be a real jerk when he wants to be.
Quinn, I don’t think you necessarily have to go to an epileptologist-great if you can find one. I see a neurologist. She’s at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. It’s a teaching hospital.
Perhaps you can do a little research.? Go to Google, and ask Where can I find an epitologist in my area? Or put in the town, city that you live in. Then ask same question substituting for a neurologist. When you find places that are close to you, before you make an appointment, look at their site and see if there is somebody in the practice, who specializes in epilepsy. If they have a comment section, look at it. Very helpful. I would try teaching hospitals first if they’re near you. Because they will have more doctors who are more familiar with any neurological issues. And they have, I guess you would call it, conferences, with other doctors from other hospitals and practices, who get together and discuss what’s going on with particular patients. I was told recently I came up Several Times. LOL
And finally, if you have insurance, maybe start there. They may be able to recommend doctors you can look up and spare some of the time over the other ideas I gave you.
Quinn, I am very grateful that you are taking this step. Best of luck to you my friend. Jolene.
If possible check with you university college they may have Epileptologists.
Another idea is to check with your local Epilepsy Foundation. They might be able to help
Quinn, You'll eventually need to check your insurance carrier to see who they recommend for a neurologist In-Network, if you have to stay In-Network near Hayes / Gloucester if you want to stay local.
Johns Hopkins has a vast network that covers Maryland, Virginia, DC, & Florida stems out to the DC area & their reputation speaks for itself. My brother would recommend them but he's slightly biased as that's where he did his medical stuff. Here's a link to the Neurology site.

There's atleast 128 in the MD, VA, DC region, but a friend said to check if they had clinics out there as well if you need to go that route. They may also have affiliates that they could recommend, as I'm not sure how far you're able to travel.
God's Best & Merry Christmas
Nate
A suggestion I can share is to begin asking your general primary for assistance as he or she may be able to provide steps with a referral and/or what can be done with what is happening on other medical activity. Every hospital and clinic has a different policy guideline so I am sharing a step I have taken when needing assistance to answer medical questions and seek out further insight. Wishing you the best of luck!
Its depends on where you are the practices should say who's there and what they specialise in. This is how it was when I was seeing my old Neurologist. I'm not sure whether this happens in the US but in AUS a lot of the time even though a Neurologist may work in a public hospital, but their main practice is somewhere completely different. My point is if you do find someone try to find where there based as the website may give more information.
