In our personal family matter due to a health issue, our granddad is getting worse and we are trying our hardest but it get harder each day, especially my nan who is suffering through it the most. I'm trying to hide my seizures away from my family so they need to worried about me when they got lots of other thing to worry about.
We all live with stress, whether it be our own or stuff around us. You on the other hand are living through a tsunami, related/unrelated to yourself. Make that time before bed for yourself. Lock the bathroom door and put on your headphones and close out what’s around you. For your own space of control for you. Or whenever/wherever. You will find comfort dealing with everything else, without comfort for yourself. There sounds like allot on your plate. And sometimes you need to clear your plate before you start again. With compassion, do something for you.
Best wishes,
Suzanne
How can stress-related seizures be managed when you're dealing with family health challenges?
It's completely understandable that you're trying to protect your family during this difficult time with your granddad. However, hiding your seizures might actually put you at greater risk and add more stress to everyone later.
Yes. I think so. Last week my brother had to get a PET scan because Dr saw spots on his lungs and I had 3 seizures. 1 before and 2 after. He’s ok but my mother went through a horrible time with cancer ( breast and lung) and I just couldn’t get it out of my head.
When extra worries occur to me my mom passing during the holidays. I went to music that made me comfortable! I meditated. I do yoga . Dealing with family members I always say what my 9th grade teacher said “Life is a Festival!” Love yourself, you can love those who give you challenges❤️❣️You are a wonderful person !
I have a lot of stress right now since my husband passed away in October. My pcp doctor put me on zoloft and it has helped alot.
