I have to laugh at my epilepsy: laughter lets me know my epilepsy does not control me, and to be fair, my epilepsy has gotten me into some funny situations. I realize some may feel this question is inappropriate, and I apologize in advance.

Members overwhelmingly agreed that humor is a powerful tool for coping with epilepsy, with many sharing that laughter helps reduce the stress and anxiety that can trigger seizures. Several members shared funny personal stories, like finding a phone in the refrigerator or waking up in an ambulance and talking politics, showing how light-heartedness can turn tough moments into warm memories. A recurring theme was that laughing at difficult situations creates a sense of control and connection, reminding the community that epilepsy does not have to define or defeat them.

Here's (what I think) is some laughter for all. I routinely carry my i-phone with me while listening to favorite broadcasts during the day. Went to the refrigerator to get something and accidentally left the phone on a shelf and forgot about. I don't have dementia or any such thing, just happy I found what I was looking for. My wife heard voices in the kitchen and thought I was speaking with someone...until she realized the voices were speaking in the refrigerator. That's where she found my I phone. I hope this brings a smile to someone

“Laughter is the Best Medicine!” Laughter helps to relieve stress by helping the body to relax. I prefer comedy shows/movies especially during the recovery process after an episode. Keep calm and giggle a lot! 😂
