Members shared many ways they help themselves feel okay while living with epilepsy, with laughter standing out as a favorite and widely agreed-upon mood booster. Several members described daily routines like walking, biking, playing games, crocheting, music, Bible study, research, and caring for pets as key ways to stay grounded and positive. A recurring theme was that finding even one small activity to look forward to each day, whether it brings a laugh or a sense of purpose, can make a big difference.

I’m trying to keep myself busy by playing brain games, reading, meditate, taking a nap and playing with my dog. Life isn’t fair because people that have epilepsy are more limited in doing many activities and we only live once!

I start running at 6:45 every morning but Sunday. That is because I go to church on Sunday and I leave about 7:15 a.m.
