I worked in the field and met other physicians with different abnormalities that were super!
I think it all depends on the person (medical), and how they feel about having epilepsy. If they feel bad or empathic about their experiences with it, then they tend to be a little more caring, while others feel that it’s taken away their dreams of being a surgeon or specialist and have no sympathy for others who have it and don’t care that u have it as well.
Would it make a difference if your doctor also has epilepsy?
That's a really thoughtful question! Whether a doctor has epilepsy themselves could potentially affect how they relate to your experience, but it doesn't necessarily determine the quality of care you'll receive.

I have a friend right now who is trying to get through vet school, and she has celiac disease, and she is having problems getting through school. She has to miss a lot of classes because she gets so sick. I worry she will not make it through school, which is a shame because she works with animals so well, and she is smart as a whip.

If an individual had epilepsy that bad, I doubt they would have made it through medical school for the reasons you mentioned above, and for others as well.
