Im sure I had an absence seizure at work yesterday. I was in my class and the teacher put on a video about volcanos as we are teaching them about volcanos in science. I felt odd for a bit and then it felt like I zapped out of reality and then suddenly zapped back in like a little passage of time passed. No one noticed luckily and I just carried on as normal for the rest of the day.

Yes. Especially if you're somewhere, just in general public where no on really knows what to look for so yes its very possible.

It was definitely an absence seizure then. This morning not long after getting up I had to take a clobozam as I felt really weird like before I have a tonic clonic seizure. Luckily its stopped the weird seizure feeling progressing into a tonic clonic. I will email my epilepsy nurse about both. Thank you so much for all your answers and please don't think im being rude but I cant like posts or use the hug button anymore on here. Its so annoying but the icons dont show up anymore. I don't understand why. I want to send hugs to everyone but I cant ๐Ÿ˜ž.

yes they can go unnoticed by everyone including yourself sometimes because they can last only a few seconds
sometimes you will notice because like your recent one you know time had passed
the only time people maybe when you stare at the same thing etc for a few minutes and they are talking to you and you don't reply or you continue where you left off and they have changed to something else
even then they may not its because you have had an abscence or they know about your epilepsy but you will realise because the conversation has moved on
if you are on your own when they happen then you may not realise yourself but you may feel tired all of a sudden
they are difficult to monitor or record because of it
