So I'm getting weaned off of onfi and got started on trileptal does anyone drink any alcohol on it? I knew onfi I couldn't drink on since it's a benzo I've drank on lamictal and keppra but this is my 1st time on trileptal I'm looking to hear from people who are on it I know you shouldn't drink with epilepsy to begin with but I have a wedding coming up and I wanted to have a drink or 2.
Stopped alcohol the moment I was getting bad seizures, its a huge trigger, mixed with any AED is asking for trouble or at least a very sleepy person !
No way. I've been on seizure medications my whole life. I wouldn't recommend alcohol. But that's up to you. Personally I don't think its a good choice.
I drink very, very small amounts. I am talking about a thimbleful for toasting at weddings
I would never drink alcohol with meds, but I wouldn't drink with seizures period.
