I have had my flu shots every year. My PCP did say the pneumonia vaccine was actually recommended for epileptics. I get vaccinated for everything I can. I can no longer get the covid vaccine because I had an allergic reaction.

Are flu vaccines safe for people with epilepsy?

Unfortunately, the search results provided don't contain specific information about flu vaccines and epilepsy. However, this is an important question worth discussing with your neurologist or healthcare provider.

Generally, people with epilepsy can receive flu vaccines unless they have specific allergies or other medical reasons to avoid them. Your doctor can review your individual situation, including your medications and overall health, to determine if a flu vaccine is appropriate for you.

It's worth noting that getting sick with the flu could potentially trigger seizures in some people, as illness and fever can be seizure triggers. This is one reason why staying up to date with vaccinations is often recommended.

For the most accurate guidance about flu vaccines in your specific case, reach out to your healthcare team. They can consider your complete medical history and current treatment plan when making recommendations.

I agree with the ai mentioned about it, and would get other people's opinions here which is ok with that also, but go to your doc about the situation and condition you have at hand and go from there about it, my opinion and good luck with your outcome with it,
