As for advancements in my life time that helped me greatly is the VNS. I have generalized seizures so it the whole brain. I've been lucky that it works well controlling my tonic clonic seizures. Of course I'm on 4 meds with it but they dont do it without the VNS. I have very hard to control seizures. There's some fancy name for it but I forgot it.

I've only used meds and avoiding "triggers" as treatments for seizures. I have tried and still use Reflexology, homeopathic, and herbal remedies for other conditions I had/have. Surprisingly those treatments work as good if not better than medical treatments without any side effects.

I had brain surgery but then they found out I have epilepsy both sides of my brain , that is why I have a VNS instead, cause they couldn't do the surgery. One thing I will never forget is signing consent form to have it done in case it went wrong. Thank God πŸ™ it was okay.
