I have on average a daily seizure- I work full-time but epilepsy is affecting my work, I shouldn’t be working.
However, I know you have to not work for 6 or 12 mos to apply. So, how do you not work if you have to work? I need to apply for disability but can’t just stop getting a paycheck to do it.
There’s so many issues involved in receiving SSDI. It’s not an easy task and I would suggest that you get the help of an attorney who specializes with disability, many won’t charge you anything unless they are able to get you signed up and approved for disability benefits.
Although it’s been over 25 years since I was approved, one reason why I had been not let go from a full time job. I had been working various temporary positions through agencies. When you’re released from a position like this, it is not seen as being fired because it was not the agency that employed you that let you go from the position. Although after working for a major company for two years, I was let go because of my epilepsy and bipolar disorder. I am not sure how things work and whether or not a company can legally let you go due to your disability but rather because it affects your ability to get your job. Like I said earlier, this was over 25 years ago in Texas and I have no idea what variations there are when filing in different states or for that matter, even if there’re any.
God bless you and I hope that all goes well for you. 👍❤️🙏
It took me 4 times to finely get it but then they said I couldn't collect because I didn't work enough hours in the past 2 quarters to receive it. But then they said I could have SSI but guess what my husband makes to much money at 40,000 a yr.
I applied twice before I called Allsup and I had some medical records but they got the more important ones
Once you apply you more then likely will be denied do you have medical records stating that you can’t work or shouldn’t be working full time if so then call allsup you can use me as a reference
Here is a link to look at. Hope it may help in some way. Because of insurance laws changing by the day, don't get discouraged if you are not accepted. Some people had to apply 5 times or more to be accepted. Just keep trying.
