There are online support groups for parents. I would be glad to get you that information if you don't have it. I am now 11 years seizure free.
Aaryres , there many subjects , topics. Issues on Epilepsy. What stuff are you wanting to understand about epilepsy
@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member , On top of the support you’ll find in this group, your local “Epilepsy Foundation of Greater Chicago” might be able to help you & your son. Their direct website is www.epilepsychicago.org & they offer things like support groups, events, programs & different types of resources. Here’s a direct link to the schedule of their support groups because I had to look a bit for it but try scrolling to the bottom where it says “Services” if you go to the main website. https://epilepsychicago.org/services/support-gr... . It looks like they offer support groups for caregivers as well. If you have any questions just contact them. My local Epilepsy Foundation offers the services that I mentioned above. They likely have a Facebook page under their same name. They’re there to help you & so don’t hesitate to reach out to them. My local Epilepsy Foundation helped when I didn’t have any insurance. Some locations offer meetings in person & others offer virtual meetings & some offer both. Another website to find helpful information about Epilepsy & seizures & an Epilepsy Support Hotline phone number where you can call & talk to someone 24 hours a day/7 days a week is available at www.epilepsy.com & you can also look up a little info about your local Epilepsy Foundation on that website. Welcome to the site & if you have any questions feel free to ask. We’re here to support each other. Keep your eyes open & you’ll find other parents on here. Your friend in Texas, Becky
