In my opinion part of it will be from ur meds, but the time of your also plays into it as well as the weather ur having. Ur diet will also affect how tired u feel along with how ur vitamin levels are- too low = sleepy; and too high = energy. So it’s more than just ur meds, there’s so much more that plays into how fatigued u feel

The one item that does make me get that way is when taking Xcopri in the evening. I had help getting tired once again when taking Melatonin as needed when my dosage was put back to normal.

There are many AED meds with the side effect of making you feel tired and possibly causing you to fall asleep.

Then there are the seizures. Depending on how long , Strong and severe the seizures are, can also make you tired.

Fatigue and sleepiness are very common experiences for people with epilepsy. This exhaustion can feel both mental and physical, affecting your daily life and energy levels. Many MyEpilepsyTeam members report feeling extremely tired during the day, with some even experiencing unexpected daytime napping.

The impact can be significant - some people feel tired for several days after having a seizure, which can affect work and daily activities. Several factors can contribute to feeling sleepy when you have epilepsy:

• Seizure activity itself can be exhausting
• Anti-epileptic medications may cause drowsiness
• Post-seizure fatigue can last for days
• Sleep disruption from nighttime seizures
• Depression-related fatigue (a common comorbidity)

It's important to discuss these symptoms with your healthcare provider, as they may be able to adjust medications or suggest strategies to help manage your fatigue.
