Sometimes a bad moment in the day — a comment, a memory, a feeling — just sticks. Even when everything else is calm, my mind keeps replaying it over and over, like it's stuck on repeat.
When that happens, what do you do to quiet your thoughts or shift your focus?
Any mental tricks, grounding habits, or comforting routines that help you reset? 💭💜
Would love to hear how others deal with this kind of mental “echo.”
I’m really sorry you’re feeling that way, @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member. It’s incredibly hard when the people closest to us don’t treat us with kindness or respect. If you ever want to share more or talk about ways to cope with that, this community is here to listen and support you. You’re not alone.
Thanks for sharing this @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member. It’s true the mind shapes so much of how we experience life, and guarding our thoughts is just as important as caring for the body.
I also do meditation 🧘♀️. Ambient music helps. My husband says “you can tell my brain attitude by my music”
That’s a solid mindset. I like the idea of replacing the negative with something positive — simple but powerful. Thanks for sharing that! 💪💜
Thanks, @A MyEpilepsyTeam Member. I agree—meditation and deep breathing really help. Childhood stuff can stick with us, but remembering thoughts are just thoughts is powerful. Appreciate your advice! 💜
