I take but I have explained it to my nurse practitioner and said I have a diet, and she said it could have something to do with my iron level being low, but the test I was informed about doing coming up is a one I looked up and found out that the med I have had prescribed has a effect with the test that could cause it to effect the test they are going to do, I looked online about it and it's got a few different times of stopping the med prior to the test, 3, 4, days,at least 5, and another at… read more

I just went through that but I had an endoscopy at the same time. The doctor told me 2 days before to stop taking my Eliquis. I screwed up and took one that morning and when the hospital called the next day I told them what I did. I assured them I did not take my evening dose only the morning. So they said they would call my doctor to see if she wanted to reschedule or leave it as is. They called me back and said she said we would still do it tomorrow. I was relieved. Luckily I don't bleed heavily from the Eliquis. My Hubby's on xeralto and he bearly bumps into something and bleeds. We were leaving the hospital one day and I noticed a trail of blood down his arm. I looked at the floor and it was a trail of blood there too. I told him stop we need to get you rebandaged you are gushing blood from where your IV was. Went to the nurses station and told them. Boy they moved fast to grab something to put pressure on it while another nurse went and got a dressing for it. Me you stick an IV in and take it out and wrap it. When I take the dressing off there's a small spot of blood.
I have anemia which is low iron too. Last summer I went through 8 weeks of IV infusions for it. My PC sent me to a hematologist. So since than every 3 months I go in for blood work and check all the iron things in the blood. So far so good. I see him the end of August which will be 1 year since my infusions ended. Because of the infusions my multivitamin can't have iron in it. But the foods I eat that have iron in them are fine. I've been fighting anemia since I was a teenager. Kept telling my mom I wanted spinach with dinner and rarely got it. Glad yours is controlled by a oill. I usedvto take iron pills. My body has changed a lot in the 60s! I use to have high blood pressure now I have low blood pressure. My seizures have decreased dramatically. I lost lots of weight and am now almost to where I was when I met my hubby. He calls me skinny now though I've never been skinny, German genes I have a hourglass body that will never be skinny but I am very comfortable where I am now I can buy regular sized clothes and I don't recognize myself when I look in a mirror yet. That's very weird! But I'm also so much healthier. My A1C was 7.8 and the doctor said she would give me 6 months to prove I could get it down on my own. Next time she saw me 6.3. Last time it was taken about a month ago 5.1 So in 18 months I went from diabetic to very normal. Life is good!

My mum has done these and as part of it she always has to have a blood test and they take a updated record of what meds you take so from that if anything could happen or if they need to change how they do things they will have all the information for it. On top of that they won't do it if they don't feel everything your ready even at the last minute. My mum has had to be pulled out a few times.

I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy about a year ago my doctor told me to take all seizure meds. Which I have to do anyway or I would seize during the procedure.
