I do get actual aura's, but this is way before that. The last two seizures I've had more forgetfulness, word retrieval, balance issues, and dizziness for a month before. It's happening again, only this time I'm also switching meds (from Clobazam to Xcorpi). I'm hoping the Xcorpi works. After that they are talking about surgery.

No. My auras seem to be different for every seizure. Every time I start to feel strange, I take my rescue medication.

Yes, some people experience early warning signs (called prodromes) minutes to days before a seizure occurs. These prodromal symptoms can include:

- Anxiety

- Irritability
- Mood changes While auras are actually the beginning of a seizure itself, what you're describing sounds more like prodromal Show Full Answer

- Headaches

- Confusion
- Irritability
- Mood changes While auras are actually the beginning of a seizure itself, what you're describing sounds more like prodromal symptoms. Since you're also transitioning between medications, it's especially important to keep track of these symptoms and share them with your healthcare team. They can help determine if what you're experiencing is related to the medication change or if it's part of your seizure pattern.

I don't get any auras, which I wish that I did, because then I know to go lay down or get on the floor, bed etc. Because falling down stairs have really gotten me hospitalized, bruised and my headaches, cuts, scrapes and all. I have went walking before and I had a seizure to where my body seized that my face was scraping on the concrete. I do realize that I've had a seizure afterwards, because I feel exhausted, I have a really bad headache and my body is really sore. I even feel confused and embarrassed. I be soooooooo tired that I have to stay in bed for the rest of the day and sometimes the next day. I wish that I could get auras, because I've been in a couple of car accidents and if I did have an aura, then I could pull over to somewhere at least away from traffic or somewhere safe.

No. I generally don’t know until after I actually have a seizure and even then I usually don’t know that I have had it
