I’ve noticed that I’m having more seizures that I can’t control with my medicine and my seizures are lasting longer and more severe.

The experience of seizures becoming more difficult to control over time does happen to some people with epilepsy. In fact, some studies show that 80-90% of people continue to experience seizures into adulthood. It's important to track your seizures carefully, including:
- Their frequency
- Duration
- Severity
- Time of day they occur

This information will be valuable for your healthcare provider to potentially adjust your treatment plan. Since you're noticing changes in your seizure patterns and medication effectiveness, it's crucial to schedule an appointment with your neurologist to discuss these changes and explore additional treatment options.

My seizures never had a chance of worsening . I had left. temporal lobe.brain surgery . They helped reduce my seizures from sever to mild and moderate seizures . But I still had the average of 1 seizures a day o r30 seizures a month.

It wasn’t until 2022 when the DBS reduced my seizures a lot .

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member . From my teens to 2022 , I had the the 30seizures or once a day. That was always a fact of life. My seizures average never reduce, untill 2022 when I had my DBS done. My seizure have reduced to 5- 10 seizures a month, instead of the 30 a month.
