Members shared a mix of personal preferences when asked whether they prefer planned activities or spur-of-the-moment ones, with most landing somewhere in between. Several members described how their health conditions play a big role in decision-making, noting they have had to cancel plans due to pain, seizures, or fatigue, making flexibility essential. A recurring theme was finding small joys at home when going out isn't possible, like enjoying nature, watching comedies, or taking things one day at a time.

Most of the time I take it one day at a time. But I like when planning events for the future , week / month ( unless it’s a planned Dr. appt ) .

I cannot do anything without planning. Where I live is Elderly Housing. There is an elevator. They have an Exercise class, some Bingo and other events. Nothing happened during Covid. We could not eat lunch together, either.

I can handle both, but at the start of the day I would like to have part of the day planned. Things do change on the spur of the moment if someone has a better idea for doing something.
