I don't have a prob with that, the last time I went to see my doc I had to get blood work done and was a hr and 15 min wait, but I went and got something to eat, I don't like to rush in or out of my appts with the medical system etc, I usually am ok with if a treatment is being ordered and may be overnight or a couple days, but as for seeing my reg doc, I check in and don't really mind how long it takes to get my check up with my doc, it's usually ok with me, but what are your thoughts on this… read more
I don't mind a reasonable wait but I had one once with a doctor where after sitting in the waiting room for way over an hour I asked what the hold up was. They said he was called to the hospital for an emergency. I asked when she said oh a couple of hours ago he'll be back when he's finished surgery. I asked why didn't you tell me when I checked in, she said well we have lots of patients waiting. I rescheduled my appt.
For me it's a day long event. Usually have to have an eeg done then I have lunch in café. I then go and check in for app with my neurologist. I wait for my medical taxi and sit in MTL traffic for and hour to bring me home. It's a good thing I only have appointments every 6mths! 😆
doesn't matter to me how long I have to wait for an appointment. I generally sit with my eyes closed until I am called.
As my epilepsy is under control with meds, I rarely see a doctor, unless it is for another reason. I am fine with normal appointments such as every 3 months to give blood for drug dialysis - to help check the blood levels. Normally it is once a year. Since my operation, they want to check the blood every so often.
