It didn't work out for you, or you decided to go back to it, would you have to go through the process of trying to get disability as it took place to get it, I know my condition has not gone away but it's better than before, but is that a possibility I'm just wondering if that could happen, came to me about this post here? What do you think? Curious

Yes, you can work in the US while applying and receiving SSDI. There is a limit amount of income you can make per month.

In terms of working, each individual is completely different. It has recently been revealed that, due to the permanent nature and seriousness of my epilepsy, I should never have been given medical approval to work/drive at all. The NZ Medical system and the NZ Government can squabble over who is responsible, but it just highlights how incompetent both institutions can be.

It is possible to call back to work on Social Security, but now full-time. On SSDI you can make $1100 for Extra. I don’t know what the rules are for regular security, or SSI

I worked many years as a Telemarketer and in Customer Service. They were all on a Bus Route, and I would only work when they ran. One job I lost because they could let me work from 5-7, but I had been hired to work 9-2 or 10-3 daiy. That was not much $$. My Neurologist had me tested after there were no Telemarketing Jobs. I have a Learning Disability so severe I could not learn and carry out a task. Eventually I was eligible for Medicare. Before then the Deductible was $5,000!

@A MyEpilepsyTeam Member, sorry things are like that. Stay strong as it seems you do, can you do some kind of ground/floor work out?
