Hi everyone, so I'm not too sure how it happened but I managed to get a job interview at some where I wouldn't mind working and it's in my area.
This company has a disability policy, and I have a feeling I may have said I have epilepsy so if it comes up during the interview how do I handle that? I may not have but the fact I tickect yes to disability means it may come up.

Members rallied around someone preparing for a job interview who was uncertain how to discuss their epilepsy, with the overwhelming consensus being to be honest upfront because transparency protects both the employee and employer, helps secure necessary accommodations like FMLA or regular breaks, and reveals whether the company truly supports workers with disabilities. Several members shared practical strategies including explaining that seizures are controlled with medication, asking about the company's understanding of epilepsy and available support systems, and using disclosure as a way to gauge employer attitudes before accepting a position. A recurring theme was encouragement to advocate confidently for oneself, with members emphasizing that epilepsy doesn't disqualify someone from meaningful work and that honesty often leads to better workplace relationships and legal protections under disability laws.

Congrats, i'll be praying you get it.
Don't worry about checking the box. Let them bring it up, & since medical shouldn't be a factor for employment we weren't able to ask. If asked, just let them know you're controlled.

My therapist told me, there are places that hire disabled people.
Or better said, social services that helps people with disabilities., gain employment. Hopefully you’ve just stumbled upon one of those places. Or a nice company that just allows disabled people to work there. Best of luck! Hope you get it!

Tell the truth, and if you can prove they rejected you because of the epilepsy, they will have a major lawsuit on their hands
