I'm kinda curious and wondering here, I haven't met anyone else that has had my condition to this day since being diagnosed with it, I am ok with the medical system and people there that are getting treated and such, and sites like this and get to know your thoughts on your condition and such etc, I even went on people that are listed in my area thinking I may know if I somewhat knew of them, but didn't, I'm not complaining about anything or against anyone else here with any condition they have… read more

I've met others who have Epilepsy by going to meetings monthly in 1 of the hospitals located here. If any of you are interested in going to one, you ought to check and see if there are any located by you (hospitals that have epilepsy meetings) and go.

I’ve met several ppl who have epilepsy. They don’t have the same kind as i do but they still have it. Once ppl found out I had it they started coming to me for their haircuts as I would be able to tell if they were starting to zone out or start shaking. It’s happened a few times and luckily I knew what to do. So while I know more epileptics than it sounds like most ppl here don’t; we all know that our episodes are different and so are our reactions upon regaining consciousness. And I just recently had the pleasure of meeting a 7 year old autistic epileptic boy who has a heart of gold. I even told his mom that he could be a “ poster child “ ( not phrasing it quite right) for both epilepsy and autism. I was in a bad mood, had had a seizure really early in the morning, but I had to see the doctor. He was so happy to interact with me and then he saw a police officer also waiting to see the dr, And this little guy was just so happy that I got them to talk to each other he gave me a big hug. There went my bad mood. He had calmed me down just watching and talking to him with such an amazing innocent aura around him; it was priceless.

My aunt and uncle use to keep to themselves. Probably the worse thing you can do. After my uncle died she started to make friends. She's a quiet shy person. She doesn't go out much. But atleast she talks with people more then when my uncle was alive.
